Amateurs! Today was the 1st snow drive in the little F25. I have to say, not so bad!

We had quite the storm today.

Mine has been inside during our Texas winter days. Aluminum valve cover is ready for use. I'll start driving it daily tomorrow. I've missed them seat warmers!

Does WD40 work on latches to keep them from freezing?

Whenever we had the last 2 of the deep freeze events here in Houston, I decided to let the tank thaw out. I’ve never had to let any motor vehicle that I’ve owned thaw out! Dang these tanks are temperamental!

But boy when you are “rippin n dippin” they are a blast to operate! WD may just freeze as well. Someone will have to test the idea.

I forget what year it was but a few years ago I was down there for a little golf vacation. Myrtle Beach area. Right around Martin Luther King Day. And there was like 5 in of snow and ice storm. I went to have a golf vacation and instead I was scraping ice off of car windows. And then canceled flights etc.

I'm south of lake Erie, we've been getting 2" of snow every single night for almost 2 weeks.

Today was at least warm enough to rinse the salt off. I don't bother with the door locks. The driver door is barely operational. Any day now I will get to figure out how to get in the car from another door. The rear hatch struts are failing, only when cold. I've gotten bonked in the head twice. The windows are also getting frozen shut. That's probably how the regulators get broken.

WD40 doesn't freeze until -20F or so. It may keep the latch from freezing, however it dries out lubrication. I would follow up with lithium grease shortly after wards. We have our next winter blast next week. No precipitation though. I've only had the door frozen once since I've owned. Luckly, I was able to get the door open.

What can be used on the door seal too keep it from freezing? Mine has a new left front door seal. Moister shouldn't be a problem.
