Electrical Demon---- Depart!

Just sharing this episode.
You can move to the X3 e83 area but first get this...!
Readying for a 900 mile trip with my most reliable X the 04 e83 215k not my X5.
Anyways...
8 mo old battery.
Gas tank full.

I get in, car recognizes key
ignition turned and then silence.
Must be the battery...?

Charger indicates full...

I wiggle the power jump start cable at the port box under hood.
Turn the ignition... nothing.

but the shift light is on...04 is not sleep! Still nothing from the ignition.

I open the doors crawl to the trunk with a screwdriver in hand.

Lifted/removed the floor trap door after damaging the lift handle...that hurts

Wiggled the negative battery cable... nothing

Popped the release for the lift gate...well glory be! Seems like the whole garage lit up so brightly along with the tailgate.

I then return to the ignition and the old Sopwith Camel started right up!

Here's what the dash indicated:

Had to reset:
*Clock
*Trip meter
*Windows
*Steering, lock to lock

Last time I drove it.... yesterday
Last thing I done to it...
A)Changed the wiper blades
B)gassed up two days ago

Can't truthfully recall if I heard the fuel pump or not I had it replaced maybe 5 years ago.
Have cranked and started her at least 5 times since no problems.

I can't explain it can anyone else?

We did have (off and on) wind storms in the area yesterday.
But car was in the garage...
