Heat seat Wiring...?

Morning All:
I'm wondering...is the heated seat Wiring also in e53s with seats that are non-heated?
Same wire harness in both cars?

The back seat of mine had the wiring to add at the seat but I'm not sure if it had behind the switch plate, though.

I'm also curious about the fronts.

If you look is their a cord to nowhere?

We bought our 02 4.4i without heated seats, but I swapped in the better and more adjustable LCI comfort seats with heat, and it was plug and play. Heat works great.

Not sure what your plans are, but the one issue I have with the swap is thst I am getting a pax side airbag light for the occupancy mat. It’s been surprisingly easy to look through it, so I haven’t addressed it yet.

My 2002 X5 didn't have seated seats, but was prewired. I added switch buttons and heated seats.

Yes! This is what I was hoping for
But upon further inspection...
I'm messing a wire connection.
Also, couple of fuses.

I had a buddy get his seat mat replaced for $600!

At the time, wife's 2001 would give us an airbag error when ambient was below about 40f=4.444 c so my research quickly found "ass detector" simulator boxes no way I'm replacing the mat.

Turns out there was an internal fault in the airbag module i never bothered to repair. Just needed to use a little cabin heat to get above 5c and restart the car.
