Looking good.
What does the wear look like on the cam lobes? |

I had a piece of plastic fall into the cylinder and I couldn't turn it over lol. Finally found it and removed it.
I will take some pictures of the cam lobes. The cylinders look like they're in great shape. I was going to do a leak down test, but realized that the intake camshafts have another row of smaller camshafts lol, which is vavletronic? Not sure how I'm supposed to close the valves to do the leak down test? Tomorrow/after tomorrow the plan is to finally pull M54 N62 is still missing a few seals that are stuck in transit (canada post strike...) |

That is essentially a body swap.....you have gumption taking that on without a lift. I pulled my transmission once and the engine/trans/TC + sub-frame twice and thought that was a major job...... This is next level.

This is a heck of a first engine and trans pull!
Read through the entire thread and looking forward to the updates and seeing it running.

Finally canada post strike is over and I received the orings, #12 on the diagrams.
![]() Because the guide rail gets installed at an angle, unless i remove the head, I guess I wasn't careful enough and damaged one of the orings. Gotta order them again lol!... I should've installed the guide straight, over the orings, let it sit for a few hours to compress them, and then i would've probably been able to install at a slight angle. End of October it's getting cold lol. I think I need to start swapping the wiring harness fast. Once it starts snowing it will be too hard to do all that outside... |

At least you caught it before it went on, waiting for parts sucks though.
