New wheel bearing throwing some oil

Is it normal for a new wheel bearing to throw a couple CCs of oil in the first trip?

I replaced the left, front wheel bearing. My first trip was 100 miles, mostly interstate. It's a FAG. It looks as if it was overfilled when it was manufactured (which I don't mind) and it threw a couple of CCs of oil in a fine mist during the trip. The bearing had obviously been sitting on NAPA's shelf for a minute, so I'm certain there was some oil separation in the grease. The rear of the fenderwell had a strip of oil staining about 2" x 12". The inside of the rim had a sheen to it and so did the CV boot. I did not damage the grease seal when I i stalled the bearing. I used a shop press and mandrels to make sure all of the pressures went in the right places. This looks like it is normal to me.
