Any expert repair advice for the door armrests?

I have a 2003. Armrests are good, no issues. My 2006 all the door arm rests are coming loose. As I look at other uses m54s, I see many have the arm rest issue 2004 and up.

Does anyone have advice on how to reglue these. There is a fine plastic film inside and some foam. I can tuck the leather back in, but not sure how well or what he glue will grab onto.

Advice?
