Also: for removing stuck sensor cut the wire and use a full 6 pt deepv socket. On e53, I've always had a high torque impact so I never had to fight. I do use a thread chasing tool to clean up the bunghole. ![]() ![]() ![]() A couple pics from when i did ones of our 3.0i downstream O₂. I was trying to find one with the back side crowfoot set-up but this is close with the dr. Seuss around corners ratchet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm almost sure the tool is 22mm. I like its thick crow foot. Plus, its a flex head type. I've used cheater pipes to get out stuck O2 sensors. I'll test it out this weekend and report back.

Confirmed.
The Ford tool fits BMW Oxygen sensors. A little tight, but I'm sure both upper oxygen sensors can be removed. Once I order two upper sensors, I'll replace them. The A/C line in the way. Installing tool under the line and probably using a pry par, enough leverage can be applied to break the sensors loose. The oxygen sensor for cylinders 1-3 is probably better accessed with a crow foot style socket. I have a 22mm socket too.

I found a place where I can rent a lift by the hour, so that'll be my project for the week I took off after (US) Labor Day. I didn't even know such places existed in the lawsuit-crazy USA... I got four Bosch O2 sensors, two up, two down.

This is the most boring ass thread ever. 4 pages and months to change two O2 sensors that would take 15 minutes. Ive wasted more time looking at this than it would take you to swap the two that would cause the issue. Why you making this so hard? Wasting time. I'm out.
