I wouldn't say the Toyos have problems in the summer heat, its just not a true high performance tire. Its more of an all-weather tire for me. I thought it handled well in the summer, although I never really tried hard enough to really push them.

They may not stick to the summer pavement like Diamaris, but handles well for most people.

You absolutely don't need an all-season tire with your weather. Get a high-performance tire like the Advan's.

My wife actually did leave plenty of room between her and the car in front of her, but she had already come to a complete stop before she realized the coming coming up from the rear. For years I have always made sure people behind me knew I was stopping by swerving over to the side of the road some just to draw attention to the situation - now she realizes why I do it. I do the same thing when I am on the bike because obviouslyI have a lot more to worry about if I were to get rear-ended on it.

i would have said Toyo Proxies always, but yesterday i woke up to a flat on the passenger side rear, got some air into it and drove to my local tyre shop. they showed me the inside wall of the tyre, it was split in several places....... so on went the horrible spare. they checked the front 2 tyres, no probs. but the drivers side rear also had a split on the inside wall aswell ??? 16000 km into them, hardly any tyre wear, no alignment issues, no scrapping, both inside walls of the rears split ? faulty set ?? your thoughts

i will head down to the garage tomorrow and get some pictures, after reading some posts i have seen people mention hot conditions possible problems with the Toyos, it is cold here at the moment.... so could there be a cold conditions problem with the Toyos aswell ? cost alot of money for 16000km

so my X is now stuck in the garage waiting on new tyres to be delivered, not many 22" tyres in my town

i have gone for Continental 295/30 on the front, 315/30 on the rear. just dont trust the Toyo's after this, especially with the family in the car.

So i have a pair of Toyos which i am not sure what to do with !!!

got the tyres from Germany with the Alloys late last year, and yes it is quite unbelievable !! and quite shocking, they both could have easily blown out on the motorway.

what size Toyos did you put on your 22s? Hopefully the tires were sized correctly and not stretched past capacity.
