50 bucks to fill up
Filled up the X5 4.4 from empty to full for the first time today. At $2.18 per gallon, it took 50 bucks to fill her up. That was a shocking experience. The X5 will definitely only be a weekend vehicle from now on!

2.18, I couldn't get regular for 2.18. I get 2.40 as my price tag.

![]() Otoh, in the scheme of things, the US's $50-60+ fillup is putting a lil'dent in ma&pa middle class, but it's mostly psychological for the noveau-riche that can afford $60g cars, imo. That cute bottled water most buy, is still way more per gal than gas. BR,md

Yeah, I hit the $50 Dollar mark a few weeks ago, actually. Consider yourself lucky. :-)
Like other posts have mentioned, we still have some of the cheapest gas in the world. If I am willing to pay two bucks for a cup of coffee, I am willing to pay 2.25 for a gallon of gas. Juan
