do not turm the engine on ! Just turn the key to the first possition ,then do not crank ...just apply firm to the brake pedal then push stronger pedal at the same time make light moovements of the key with the slighht chance to moove it out. or...at the same possition of the key try to moove gently to the right and left gear shifter ( just a few millimentrs ) on the park position
It could be a light greez between contacts too!

I agree with vinuneuro...I tried my ignition--you cannot remove the key except in park...something is off in the shift lever....good luck

How did you got the key stuck there to begin with? Did you hurry getting the key out?

i didnt get the key stuck. It just wouldnt come out after i parked my car and shut it off for no reason. i guess its a common problem with the shifter position sensor. and the X doesnt no its in park
