X5 4.6 How to remove valve cover

I was toping up my oil level and a liitle plastic cap from the funnel fell inside the engine

. I can see the plastic cap but i cant get it with anything, the only option left is to remove valve cover, Can anybody tell me how to remove it and also i need tourqe specs for valve cover bolts. Thanks
