Question Steering Problems

hey guys, today i was messing around in the wet and tried doing a quick doughnut ( i know..), but i've got steering issues now.

when i'm in drive and i try to turn the wheel it's very difficult and makes a loud friction sound. but, when my foot is on the gas, whether in drive or neutral, the wheel turns fine.

has anyone run into a similar problem? i did a quick google search and found that "The fluid starts to get hot because it is pumped at EXTREMELY high pressure when the wheel is in lock position, and the hot fluid makes the pump lose lubrication, and the pump then goes to hell." --any truth to this?

thanks

it's only supposed to make noise when you turn the wheel all the way to one side and hold it there, it means your pump is working.
