wiring takes about 5 mins (to trigger with the fogs). hooking it up to the ECU, that's another problem, especially if the X is still under warranty.

Awesome to know drex! Though I'd like them to be wired into other systems, siring to fogs makes sense for now, since mine is under warranty. I totally appreciate the tip, as it's a bit much to be researching the products, the install details, and the warranty ramifactions all at the same time! X5World as always rocks! So fogs it is: I'll go that route for now. (Warranty has another 2 years!)
