I'm in the same boat, man. I opened up my ECU today to prepare myself for the unknown and on my '01 4.4, it is on the passenger side, against the firewall. I had to remove the trim from around the hood vents to get the cover to come off.

I love to DIMY, but this may be more than I want to tangle and I may end up writing a check for it. The baking and opening seems the easy part, it's the wiring that I ain't too sure about and those supplied wire just don't seem long enough.
