VDO Repair OR buy a new cluster

What to do what to do... the ex-CEO is really getting upset about the pixels going out in the dash. I know there is the option of vdorepair.com, but how long do those guys take. My mechanic gave me a nice scare saying they can take up to 8 weeks to get your unit back and suggested simply buying a new one. A new unit costs between 300 - 500, vdorepair is like 100 - 200 plus shipping.

Any thoughts?

Repair it. No need to reprogram plus they warranty it. There are two outfits in the Roundel who have ads for VDO Dash repair services.

well, I do not trust VDO repair, initially I ordered the VDO repair, then I decided not to send the unit since it is under warranty.

A week later I called VDO repair to get my money back, 2 month now and no money back.

If you paid via credit card then challenge the charges through your credit card company.

Paypal are useless for this sort of thing. I reaslly tick them off because I use CC with Paypal and then dispute/charge back using the CC company. Paypal get all miffed when you do this! Oh dear, how sad, never mind!
