I have seen quite a few 4.8s without Nav...not really that big of a deal...hopefully anyone with a brain will check the vin number....but then again...anyone with a brain probably would not be interested in the pimp my ride X5.

Eh it's not my taste. If I had the money I would pimp out the X5, but differently. Plus, the interior's not so hot or special.

There really wasn't much work done here. TiAg paint over the black trim pieces, smoked 3M plastic (same as the clearbra stuff) over the tail lights, tinted windows - that's it. Figure about $1000 for the paint, $50 for the smoked plastic, and $250 for the tints, it's about $1300 max to get this appearance.

However, the owner did shell out a few bucks for those rims (forged Asantis). They would have looked better as 5 spokes instead of 6. What makes them ghetto is the lip which I am guessing is about 4"-5". The offset can't be close to spec.

But I can't really call it ghetto. Ghetto would be more like these Asanti Alligators. A set of these on your X5 would get it into the Funkmaster show!

Yah, but you need the mink seats with ermine headrests to be fully iced.

NAV - the bmw nav is not good in my opinion, not intuitive, not touchscreen, and doesn't dim at night.

EBAY 4.8is - disgusting in my opinion, "pimping" a car that comes so perfectly setup from the factory is a waste of money imo

the NAV is really not that bad, saved me a couple of times over the last two years. Not the best but not bad.

Agree w/ the Nav. comments, BMW should make a Nav. system like the accura's or at least touch screen, then it would be worth the extra $$.
My thoughts on that X5 is that it should have been left alone, everything that came w/ that 4.8is is not perfect but better then how it looks now.

Are those smoked tint tail light illegal? I thought it was only for show room cars or something.
