Installed camber plates yesterday...
Just thought I'd let everyone know I installed a set of Dinan camber plates yesterday. I first went for RE plates but they told my installer that theirs would not fit my 04 X5. Anyhow, even though the RE plates were about $80 less than Dinan's, I got a discount on the Dinan's and saved $50 so it was only $30 more. I had a shop in Stoneham, MA install them called Bavarian Performance Group - nice place and great people. I couldn't have been more pleased with them and their work. They put two guys on the job and it took them just under an hour for the complete installation at a labor cost of $170. They even let me hang out and watch the installation. I still get the heebee-jeebees around spring compressors!
The plates are great & I can certainly notice the difference. Quicker turn-in and the understeer is all but gone. Feels great on exit/entrance ramps. The only problem now is the slow drivers who always seem to be in front of me! Great, fairly low-cost, invisible mod. Very happy with the plates and the shop!
