When my lease was up on my 4.4 (back in August of last year), there was one dealer local who had a 4.8. That was the vehicle I really wanted. I went in to test drive it, and they wouldn't let me. The guy looked at me like I didn't have the money or something. I told him I'm not paying that kind of money without putting my rear in the seat and driving it. Too bad, he says, someone else will. That's why my vehicle type is currently "formerly X5 4.4".
