Any Idea about AC Schnitzer performance kit

I just wanna get AC Schnitzer Performance kit for my 06' X5 3.0d from the dealer. Any idea about the performance effect!!Torq boosts to 550NM, Hp is gonna be 253.. I got some info about Tunit box, but I think its not legal for warranty . AC Schnitzer is better or not as much as Tunit box? All idea's appreciated..Thanks all..

We have a few members in the UK that are very happy with the Tunit box.
We had a member(Tomwac) in Belgium who didnt notice much difference with the Schnitzer unit, although I suspect that there was something wrong with it.Unfortunately ,we didnt get any more feedback from that member so we are not any wiser!

PM Adrian P ,he has a Tunit box .

There was nothing wrong with the kit.
I have dynoed the car stock, with ACS kit and custom tuned. I don't know the exact numbers anymore but here goes:
- stock 202hp
- acs 230hp 560Nm
- custom tuned 283hp 605Nm

And indeed, with the acs kit, I didn't feel squat. It's a waste of money IMHO, it costs in Belgium around 1800 euro while I paid 900 euro for the custom tuning. Also, powerboxes are apparently not very good for the engine as it just fools the cpu, which is not the case if you custom program it.

Hope this helps...if you need speed, do as I did, sell the X5 and buy an E46 M3

Thank you very much indeed.Very useful info for me.
Infact, I'm really happy with my diesel, I do want to have bi-turbo 278hp (the one in 535d) version in X5(I suppose it'll be available in new version)
I have to mention that I need some more power(but especially diesel power) in x5 which is not more than 280hp and 600nm.That will be excellent car for me.(In my standarts of course)..M3 is a great choice too.I like it very much .I do want to own one if I could. For information ACS kit 2750 Euros in Turkey..Don't wanna mention the price I paid..Really awful and much...

In Turkey can you get a 4.4 or 4.8 or is it a matter of diesel versus regular gas??

IMO, trying to make that 3.0 d go faster is like trying to make a brick fly, just a matter of futility. IMO, if I could not get a 4.4 or 4.8 X5 or a Proche Cayenne turbo, I would get an M3. To much money will be wasted getting that 3.0 to move any quicker.

Let me give you some info for the prices paid for the cars you mention.
X5 3.0DA 110,000 EUROS, EACH YEAR 1,750 EUROS TAX
X5 3.0iA 110,000 EUROS, EACH YEAR 1,750 EUROS TAX
X5 4,8is 170,000 EUROS, EACH YEAR 6,875 EUROS TAX

Tax limit is 1750 Euros for less than 3000cc, then it's gonna be 6,875Euros
So, both 3.0d and 4.8is has the same body(except some aerodynamic issues), and I guess having some 330 something hp in a diesel gives much more pleasure then 4.8is..I was really not trying to modify and change the originality of the 3.0d, but somebody told me about acs, plug in box, just want to get info. That's all.If somebody told me to get it, I was going to buy it.But I did not get the same good feedback as much as tunit box get it. And, it is not possible to get tunit box here in Turkey.(There is no dealer)
Exactly, I want the engine in 535d in my X, but seems not possible for 1 or 2 years, also not very satisfied with the bangelized new design. So, I'll wait and see.
