Roxx is on a distinguished road
New to the board, would like to introduce myself

Hello all, I made a couple of post yesterday inquiring on a 2002 4.4 X5 and I got a few helpful responses, thanks a million! I am seriously in a dilema as to whether I should buy this X5! Again here are some specifics, keep in mind I have not had my mechanic inspect it yet.
- 2002 4.4 69k miles
- flawless grey leather w/light verona wood
- 18" wheels
- appears to have all options except nav and xenon (plan to insall xenons if I decide to purchase)
- asking price is 27k

If everything checks out, it seems that the consensus is that I make sure the water pump has been replaced or be prepared to replace it as they seem to go out between 60-70k miles.

Is that ALL I need to be concerned about? I have 97 740iL w/131k and she has been on her best behavior for the last year (knock on wood) lol so I do have a lot of experience w/BMW's and although I love the car and the way it drives, I sometimes liken the BMW experience w/a tumultuous trophy wife!
Everybody thinks you are "the man" when you are out, they all want to be in your shoes! When things are good they are really good! But when they are bad.... they go WAY bad in a hurry!
Thats how I feel or have felt with my 7! There have been times when ownership has been glorious and then there was a time I changed my mind at the last minute in the finance office at the Lexus dealership (boy he was mad) I wanted a divorce from BMW because of how I was treated and some of the expensive problems I have had.
Therein lies my hesitance to purchase another BMW, this will be my wifes car (coming from a RX300) so she will have very little patience for being a staple in the waiting room of the service dept at Leith BMW!
Again provided the car has not fallen off a cliff, was flooded in a hurricane etc. Would any of you X5 guru's buy it? Thanks again
