Eisenhaus race without X pipe is what you want.

I have that on my 4.6

It is LOUD. LOUD enough to hear the exhaust with the windows up and the airconditioning on. It sounds like a V-8. Hit the pedal and look out; it turns heads.

The problem with the Eisenhaus is the tip situation. You can either cut and have someone weld your tips on from your OEM 4.8 exhaust (as the exhaust for the 4.6/4.8 comes with no tips), or order the exhaust with dual tips. I have extra large racing dual tips on mine (83 mm or 86 mm) double tips on either side. Had no interest in cutting a perfectly good OEM exhaust tip off, spot welding (which RUSTS and that is a big problem in the midwest) them OEMs on, and having two sets of exhausts with one set of tips.

I have no idea what the X pipe deletion will do to the race exhaust sound; it sounds awesome as is though.

(don't have a soundbyte to post, sorry)

Hey thanks for the info drex... Do you know if eisenhaus race actually reduces hp or torque? I have heard that as well. And how do you think it compares to Dinan?

B&B exhaust

Billy boat is a decent exhuast for the price. It is a 4 inch diameter exhaust and fits the original exhaust hole on the back bumper perfectly. Because the exhaust is larger than a dual exhaust it has a lost of polished stainless steel on the inside which adds to the look. I have it installed with an xpipe and on start up it has set off car alarms . Some physician friends have said it sounds like a porsche for whatever that is worth. At cruising speeds >70mph the sound levels off(untill u punch the gas). U can find sound clips of billy boat at their website. cheapest i found the exhaust was from vivid 1 racing.

Does anyone know of an audio or video clip of a dinan X5? I found the one on this site but that was it. I'm sorry I keep on post after post but I am just trying to find the deepest most noticable sound that provides the most power. I guess it's all up to opinion, but looking at videos is the best I can do right now.

Thanks once again

I have the Super sprint Magnum on my 3.0. It sounds incredible, and sets off car alarms when I drive in parking garages. I bought it from a member of this site who was selling it because he said it was too loud on his 4.4

Hey man.... I had my local exhaust guys do it. I wanted a clean install (clean welds, nice hangers, etc) so I did not attempt it myself. The xpipe was $75 and the install cost me $125. I could have gotten it done for $75 labor at another shop, but I wanted to use the guys I have a long history with.

edit: forgot to answer your other question... they shop offered to make the xpipe for me for $20-$30 but I wanted to use the prefabbed part from magnaflow. They do not carry any crossover pipes at my local shop, they make all of their own.
