Brake Bedding

Today I installed Axxis Deluxe pads on new 4.4i. Am considering brake bedding tomorrow morning using the instructions from Zeckhausen. Has anyone had a negative experience doing this? Should I be concerned I might screw up my rotors or pads or is this procedure fairly risk free? Thanks in advance.

just make sure to follow the directions closely and most importantly don't lock up the brakes or stop completely. if the pads were installed correctly you won't have a problem at all.

Thank You. One more question..how do you know when to end the 60-10 mph brake cycles? Their website says eight should be enough. Do you just do eight or are there certain indicators I should be observing such as pedal feel or smell of burning pads?

Seven or eight of those cycles should be enough. My Deluxe pads have been nothing but phenomenal.

They produce next to nothing in terms of brake dust, no noise, and pedal feel and performance is very similar to stock. Probably the best street pads around.

Good luck bedding them in tomorrow. Make sure to get up early and find a deserted stretch of road.
