Finally got my X back
Hi Guys
Well after a month wait I finally got my X back. I have to say the body shop guys have done a great job. Just as well, the repair bill was £11k.

Both front and rear alloys have been replaced as was the offside suspension. It was completely knackered when I hit the curb sideways just before going through the bus shelter.

The door, front wing, bonnet, bumper, light and other bits have all renewed.

That sounds like a lot of damage, your insurance premium must be going up like crazy.

Do you mean 1100 pounds or 11 thousand.11k that sounds crazy.I know the parts are expensive as are labour rates but WOW!!!!!!.

Knowing the council they charged him for the bus shelter that would have put a dent in the total cost.

I have to ask not knowing the original story how the bus shelter decided to become part of your life for a few brief but expensive seconds.

I couldn't find the original post of the accident, but I think his X5 skidded on the icy road and hit the bus shelter.

Cheers m8, those icy english roads have a habit of doing that. Remember in my youth and Ford Capri marvelling at how many times the people at the side of the road passed by before I stopped spinning and hugged a tree
