A little late for this question

Do those of you that run 19s or 20s have any issue with blow outs? Damn pot holes. Never know when a new one will pop up, can't always avoid them.

Not yet but I definitely am concerned about it.

Try to avoid HUGE pot holes as with low profile tires you only have about 2" of sidewall before you hit rim.

I've been running 20's for about 3 years now. No issues.

Avoid potholes?! Then what's the point of driving an SUV?

The point is to plow right through curbs, potholes and roadkill fearlessly. If you're avoiding potholes, you'd have to be in rock-stiff car like a 330i.

I did notice when I had my snow tires on I tended to drive more to Bavarian's tastes

Personnally, I don't have Bavarian's repair budget. I'm expecting you to make sure NJDT repairs all the potholes by the time I get back to NJ on 4/27.

Mark,
I will personally go find the road crews and ask them to fill the holes prior to your return. Wonder if they'll obilge...

The roads here in the DC area resemble an artillery range sometimes. Ruts, potholes, washboards. Some potholes in the city don't get filled for months and months. One of them's been around so long I gave it a name -- "Deep Throat".

Anyway, even with my delicate summer tires and stiff sport suspension I've never had a blowout. But my spine's been compressed once or twice.
