Excellent pictures! Those are two of my favorite BMW colours.

I like the titanium roof rails. Mine are badly faded due to sand and sun damage. I'm going to try and bring them back myself but they might have to be painted. If that's the case, there's no reason why I couldn't pick a colour other than black. Steel Gray to match the body colour?

Both are really gorgeous 4.8's. I know we have a few X5 owners who will never put anything on their roof racks (useless without crossbars anyways). Who is going to be the first to shave off their roof racks?

There was a guy waaaay back in the day who claimed to have pioneered many mods and perhaps he did because he did shave off the rails on his TiAg 4.6is. (He also claimed to have been many things to many people.) It looked interesting but kind of odd at the same time. There were pictures posted of it and maybe they could be found. I just wanted you to know that there were some pics of this.
