my friends landcruiser had the rubber things and slowly they made big nasty marks on the hood that ruined the paint. I would take the thing off and if you want to protect the front end, get a clear bra.

Plus I dont think the black bug sheild looks good on top of a white x5.

That's a cool X5!

I agree with the others - the big shield is out of place on the X5. Get a 3M clear bra installed. I have it on the ML, and months later my front end is looking perfect!

And prepare yourself for a 16:9 Nav install + DVD.
