Exhaust help

I'm looking to put a Remus exhaust on my car. Just the back end (two twin pipes).

The supplier have said that I may need to cut my existing exhaust to fit this.

Does anyone know, should my OEM exhaust be 1 piece or 2. In other words, surely I should just be able to bolt the back piece on????

The car is only 5 months old - would you expect BMW to put a 1 piece exhaust system on it at the factory?

Thanks.

Remus is "bolt on". I have it on my 2002. See my X page for pics.

EDIT: I just noticed that you have a diesel, not sure about those.
