Selflevelsusp.inact

Hi Im new to X5 world. I just got an bmw x5 4.6is 2003 certified although with remaining factory warranty. Yesterday I got into the car and while backing up a loud beep came out and in the check control display said SELFLEVELSUSP. INACT and it staid there.I just wanted to get any suggestions from you guys before taking the car to the dealer . Thanks

This usually is a malfunction and should be covered under warranty. Just went through it myself last week.

It's very common. The stealer will probably tell you "don't worry about it unless it stays on" as i was told 2x on my '01.

I've got an 04 3.0 and I got this message last week. Didn't think I had self levelling?? How can I check. After the X was left overnight the message went away. Is it just a bug?
