My $0.02: They neither look good nor serve any purpose. Also, they are rather early '90's, IMO. Remember all the Ford Explorers and Toyota 4Runners that had the full treatment with WAAG grille guard, tubular nerf bars, and those light protectors? The X5 is too slick for that. It would be like putting braces on Adrianna Lima.
