Question CarChip in X5 ?

I have been using a CarChip E/X (from Davis Instruments) for the last little while on my other cars, to monitor performance and other things.

It is a great addition

It essentially connects to the OBDII connector and gathers data, up to 300 hrs. You then connect it to your PC, download the data for analysis.

There is a note with the instructions to NOT use it on any car with auto Tiptronic transmissions.

Being a good boy, I have not connected it.... has anyone tried it ?

I'd love to get data from the X5 - I have lots of data from my Miata and my Escape.

Regards,
