Advise on 4.4 into 4.8is Trim Kit
First let me say I did my best to search the fourms on adding the 4.8i body kit to my 2004 4.4i. I could not find what I need, so please help me.
The reason is that my X5 front end and rear ends seems so black; well I have all this silver paint and then Bam! Black lower front end and Bam! Black lower rear end. I would like to add the rear trim of the 4.8is, which I understand could be a DIY job. However, the front end will need a new bumper; which may not be worth it. Do you think the front plastic skid plate #82 11 0 021 339 be a nice alternative to a new 4.8is bumper? This would break-up all the black. How about the 4.6is front? Will this work on a 2004? What parts do I need for the rear? Is it an apron and two end pieces? Do you need to order special BMW parts to make this install work? I understand the rear apron is $200 and two ends are $100 each. Plus paint. Can someone tell me how to install this. Thanks!
