i didn't want to hijack this thread, however, seeing the OP hasn't stopped by i will continue.

i have a 2003 X5 3.0 saphire black, & my question is:

i ordered the clear tail lights and the clear side markers.
should i order the all around clear head lights?
i also know i want Xenon and angel eyes.

or should i purchase the xenon headlights that have some amber (not entirely as my X has)?

thanks!

possible options:
If you want all clear headlights- you need to get rid of your old ones because they cannot be opened ( X5 2003)
1. Buy the 2003 sport headlights ( looks like that of asawadude's) with clear corner with a little amber( ebay, stlr, or from members of this board)
2. Buy 2000-2002 headlights ( sport or non-sport) this can be opened and all amber removed. (mine are 2002 and all amber removed) ( goodluck finding these, these are hard to find )
FYI****the manufacture date are stamped on the top/back of the headlights ( 2 stamps for each headlight) like a dial

If you want xenons to go with that, check these articles:
1. xenon retrofit
2. halogen to xenon conversion

Thanks for the answer, I have #1 with xenon already, but that is not "clear corners" to me if it is with ever so little amber...

I want it ALL clear, but if I have to buy old or used parts, I'm not sure if I want to do it...

An BMW dealer told me that there's a OEM kit for getting all clear,
(that's what the documentation says)
but I guess it just the same as I have now, including the rear blinkers,
and the kit costs like $1400 here also...

about xenons, since the oem halogen low beam is a H7 bulb, you can also try a conversion kit like this
i have oem xenons, but i could have tried this one if mine came with halogens.
Anybody out there tried using this route ?
