x5 hunting... newbie here

Hi everyone, newbie here... looking to purchase a 00-02 x5 4.4v8 and was doing research until I came across this site. I must say this is a fabulous site and I am sure I will learn heaps here !!! I will keep you all posted with my x5 hunt... hoping to get one in white but they are hard to come by... used to own a 94 M3 but sold that... need a bigger car for work now.

Just wondering... can anyone help me with this... I was looking at the "how to" on the homepage of x5world... and there was this posting on how to install a remus exhaust on your x5... just wondering whose white x5 is that and if there are more pics? I have been searching the site but can't seem to find more pics of that car... it looks sweet....

Thanks again everyone!!!

That white X5 belonged to Turk, but Eugene (TQ2K) also has a white one that is outstanding!!

:xoutpost: Glad you found us, and good luck with your purchase!

I would suggest a 2004 or 2005 4.4 X5 they made a number of improvements in 2004.

Also about a 10,000 price difference in a 2000 and a 2004.

Stay away from the 00 simply because it was the first model year and, unless CPO, has no warranty and will cost you cash if anything breaks. Oh and by the way, WELCOME

2002 BMW X5 4.4i Sport Utility 4D Excellent $32,100 (Kelly Blue Book)

2004 BMW X5 4.4i Sport Utility 4D Excellent $41,565 (Kelly Blue Book

The 2004 would still be under warrantee with free service.

If it was me, I would lease a new one.
