Anybody have a Navi in the dash?? If i can't find the X5 i want with Navi i'm trying to figure out what my options are. I don't want to get an external unit.
Thanks in advance, Frank |

get the garmish NUVI...best and smallest....looks like a small digital camera...all screen and very easy to operate! I have read a lot about the BMW navi system...and it seems to be not very good and not very easy to work with.

The cleanest solution I've seen yet. Garmin Nuvi 350, a very good Nav system. More info: http://www.xoutpost.com/lounge/14445-...highlight=nuvi

Personally, I would go with the Garmin Nuvi 350. Okay, I did go with that solution. That's my X5 with the Nuvi mounted beside the rearview mirror.
It is so easy to use, easy to mount, and so portable. If you drive other cars that don't have navigation or drive rentals, get something portable. The nice thing about the Nuvi is that it's totally portable so you can use it while walking in a city you're not familiar with.Since you did state that you want something in-dash, check out this thread with pictures on Page 2. It's not a cheap endeavour so be prepared to fork over some dough. You can get a Garmin Nuvi 350 or Tom Tom 700 for around $600.

Interesting choices!
Is there a unit that can replace the stock stereo location? I'm thinking of a pioneer unit that has a 6.5" screen that is not a folding one if that makes sense.... Like this, what do you all think? http://cgi.ebay.com/Pioneer-AVIC-D1-...QQcmdZViewItem |

Franko--> the one you linked that is on eBay looks pretty good, for the price, the only thing is that the install might be costly. unless you are doing it your self and you are a pro at auto electronics. but you must ask your self, do you want a permanent unit? or one that you can take from one car to another? it all falls on how you'll use it and it's convenience.
BTW is the Pioneer a touch-screen?
