Angry A bad day!

Just had a new windscreen fitted by Autoglass - had a nasty stone chip (too close to the lorry in front) on the last one.

Firstly, they fitted the wrong one (not the solar one - not climate comfort) - that was last Saturday. I then had to wait a week before they got the right one in stock.

Then today they fitted the correct one - left the car with them for a couple of hours whilst I took my kids to the cinema to watch Mission Impossible 3 (great film!!).

When I went back to pick the car up, I noticed a dent on the bonnett - not just a little dent, but a big crease line dent - they probably dropped the new windscreen on the bloody car. Did they admit this? No, instead they denied any knowledge of it.

Well, I had only washed the car yesterday - there was no dent there then!!!!

BASTARDS ! They will pay !! I'll contact head office on Monday.

Really sorry to hear that!
They denied any knowledge of it because H.O will take it off their salaries!I am sure that when you call H.O they will sort it out!
Dave, when they accept liability I would still be very aware of a a new paint job done on your bonnet? It will never look the same as when good and new!Get them to get a PAINTLESS DENT REPAIR SPECIALIST to look at it first! If your paintwork wasnt affected,he may get the dent out!
I had small dents on some of my cars and I got them out with this simple to use device....Good luck

Sorry this had to happen, do what ever it takes for them to pay for it. I hate it when people lie and they know it is their own fault. Too bad it had to come to this, def. do not recomend them to anyone and spread the word out---THAT THEY SUCK AT DOING SOMETHING SO SIMPLE !!!!!

Rat bastards!

I'm sure you will get this sorted out, but it is just insane that people in general have to be called out on things like this. I recently watched a glass replacement from my office window and this Neanderthal was literally smacking the glass to get it out. When I had my glass done, I took it to the dealer, had the glass company go there, so if there were any issues, it was under the dealer's watch.

Thanks for all your comments guys. I had a paintless dent repairer do some work on it today - because it was a Sunday, they charged a premium. The dent is now out and I will get the glass company to pay me back - they have said that they would. But, just got home and in a different light I can still see some marks - looks like paint ripples. There are so many curves on this bonnet that you have to look at it from all angles in the correct light to check the repair - problem was it was very cloudy today, with some light rain at times - not perfect conditions for this type of job.

I'll get someone else to look at it next week.
