X5 Sports indeed have a stiff ride. No use in fooling oneself into ignoring this fact. In my opinion, though, it's a small price to pay to have an SUV that handles like a fine sports car.

I'm loving the handling

The sports pkg. does ride a little stiffer and not as plush as a pure luxury vehicle, but the improved handling and precise steering are worth it. Anyways, aren't BMWs supposed to be driving machines? I've driven sport vs. non-sport models and prefer the better handling of the sport pkg., but that's just my $.02.

Personally i love it. I hate the feel of the non sport suspension X5. But then again im used to driving M3s and M5s. So maybe you shouldnt take my advice. I hate my wifes audi it rides like a boat.

I dont find it too stiff at all. But then again, my other cars are an M3 and a Dodge RAM pickup.

I am in the "love it" camp for sure. It is Shporty! Do what I did and get the sport package and opt for the comfort seats. Only way to ride.

I think so to. I have Servotronic and I can steer mine with one hand in the city but its very tight when I get up in speed.

I have driven a 4.4 without Servotronic and that car was really heavy when steering. Driving that car in a carpark was heavy, while mine is like steering an american car.

And I love the handiling. Took my friend for a ride and went thru a corner in high speed and he was just screeming "THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE IN A SUV!"... But it was :-D He thought I was mad and that we where going to crash.

i love the ride w/ sport package. I got my 4.4i and only have 600 miles on it, but i love the ride. I drove a 3.oi for 20,000 miles i thought it drove harsher; i can't believe i drove this SAV w/o the sport package.
IT is a must.
