Thanks Bigshoutout, working on getting more photos. I just put 20 inch Borbet Rims with Continental extreme tires. Gave it a really nice look that i love and rides really nice. Face mask? are you referring to the hood protector? What do you mean by ACS? i put the hood protector on their because i was getting lots of chips on the hood and personally like the way it looks.
Mods so car are , tinted windows, hood protector, carbon fiber side panels, aluminum side step, X pipe, 20 inch rims and tires, window rain deflectors, changed the muffler tips and now have 4.4 style tips. next i am looking to put dvd headrest but still giving that some thought. I have had this truck since 06, bought it Brand New. I have to say that i love everything about it, makes me feel like superman with a cape when i drive it. Best of it all is that i don't owe anything on it, paid in full! Last edited by x52006; 01-07-2011 at 11:42 PM. |

ACS = AC Schnitzer, a premium BMW tuning specialist.
Also haven't seen a hood protector on an x5 before, don't have them in the UK. Have you considered silver vents up front and on hood, would match the side steps really well. Also European headlights would get rid of the dated orange turning lights you guys got in the US.

Hey where did you find the black hood vents? I can find the kidney grills in black but not the vents or did you paint them?

Hi X52006,
Very nice clean car.Congrats. The hood makes it look agressive as well as being very practical and preventing chipping on your bonnet. The wheels I am not feeling it and maybe it would look better with something more oem style(87s are favorites) but each one to their own and what matters is that you think they look nice on the car and they probably do look much better "live". The orange corner headlights, they look great and may not be worth the extra expense of getting clear corner ones!I say this because you car has clear side markers and clear tails, which for me are what makes the more dated, not the front ones as they are nicely designed orange corners, unlike the pre-facelift X5s. Good luck with the car. |
