My wife and I picked up our X a week ago. What a nice car. We started doing research about half a year ago - and by research I mean reading these boards and gazing mesmorized at the X5 brochure while we waited for the lease on our Ford Escape to run out.

What we got: 2006 X5 4.4i, Toledo blue with Trufflebrown interior, Premium, Sport, Cold Weather and Rear Climate packages with Comfort Seats, Heated Steeringwheel and the iPod link.

In the first week we had it we've done 700 miles - and we enjoyed every one of them. This car has been everything we hoped it would be.

Only one thing has struck us as weird - and I hope its just a User Error - when we are done using the computer for setting speed limit, distance and so on - we cant seem to turn it off. What I've been doing is to turn it to Audio and turning off the stereo to make all the options go away (so it just shows the time). Is this a case of not reading the manual well enough - or is there really no way to turn it off other than through the stereo?

Anywho - here is a few pictures - enjoy
Same here. we pickup our Toledo Blue last week at well and me and the wiffy love it. my little momma alway want to right in it.. but check the X5 interactive Driver's Reference. it explains everything more better in detail.. I hope this help. and man I love this SAV..

We weren't sure about the exterior color - we would have prefered the kalahari beige - but we knew we wanted the truffle interior, so the decision came down to what exterior color bothered us the least of what was available. Lucky that it turned out to be just right

We are in Huntington Woods Shame about the Redwings - my father-in-law had tickets for the finale, had they made it. My wife loves hockey so she would have enjoyed that.
