Thank you so much - this noise has been irritating me for awhile now, and I do not drive it everyday.

I had a high pitched noise when accelerating in my 4.4.

It turned out to be my wife screaming.

My '01 3.0 whistles upon initial acceleration but stops at about 5mph; I don't know if it whistles while driving on the highway, but I do know that it does it when I'm pulling out of the driveway but stops very quickly after about 5mph. Should I check my air boot too?

Mine is pronounced at low speed when accelerating. I also hear it (barely) on the highway with all the noise. Dosen't hurt to look and I will check mine in the morning.

MB Quarts and sub enclosure will fix that right up.
