Cool Pano-Roof

Which year did BMW introduce Pano roof? Does it come std with all trims or is it optional? and is it std on the 4.8? Thx

I know I'm probably wrong, but I think the pano-roof started sometime in '04 and comes standard on the 4.8

It is only standard on US 4.8's, it is an option in the Euro versions.

at least august '04, my aug '04 4.4 had it as standard.

I know for sure that it was April, 04 because that's the build month of my X5 and I remember the dealer telling me that it was a 50/50 chance that mine would come through with the pano since it had just come out. My response to him was that it was a 100% chance because I wasn't going to accept it if it didn't! I got the pano...

I hear you. I just got an 04 X5 loaner from $tealer while my X is under going some TLC and I LOVE it I don't know how I'm gonna go back to the std roof . Thx for the responses.
So it is std on all trims 3.0 & 4.4 April 04 or newer, correct? Thx again.

Tell me about it! I had an X3 loaner with the pano roof. Going back to the standard roof really sucked! Next X5 will definitely have the pano roof!
