Unhappy Engine cooling fan control

I got this code 8D engine cooling fan control . do i need to change the Auxiliary Fan or just the switch.

Could be just a fuse, take it to the dealer.

Thanks man that what I did today, and they found Auxiliary Fan switch witch control the speed of the fan up to 4000rpm doesn’t work correctly.

Looks like i have the same error code... Can someone tell me where is the fuse for that fan control unit or fan is located? I hope its just a fuse.

I checked my coolant temperature and its at 103-110 so I think its normal but I really want to fix that control unit without taking my car to the stealer

I can share my own experience . You may want to check your auxilliary fan assembly too. This has been a common problem among X5 owners too... ( including me !!) All along i thought it was just a simple FSR ( final stage resistor problem) but I ended up changing the whole aux fan assembly....HTH

Do a search on aircon problems and a lot has been discussed here in this forum...
