Can I use Rain-X washer fluid with Rain Sensor?

I know people have asked this before, but none of the questions really pertained to the rain sensor. I'd just like to know if the Rain-X in the washer fluid will adversely affect the functionality of the Rain sensor. ONE guy on an M5 forum said don't use it, but that was just one person, I haven't heard that anywhere else. The kind I'll be using is green. Any thoughts?

Works for me. The sensor shouldn't be affected since the active ingredient that coats the glass is optically transparent.

The sensor is on the inside but it measures light through the windshield reflected by water droplets on the outside. The fear was that the rain-x coating would cause reflection of light and fool the sensor into thinking it was wet.
