Paint touch up/Minor Paint Job Help
I parked my car too close to the garage door ended up nicking two vertical lines in the rear bumper. 2.5" each 0.1" deep.I went to the dealer and got the Touch up paint kit for sterling gray color. Well guess what? They have gave me a wrong color so I ended up with two ugly black lines! Shall I take this to a bodyshop to repair this? What would it cost me? The dealer told me that they will talk to the detail guy and will give something to remove the black lines but I guess they just BSed me to calm me down. I live in LA County. Any advice will be appreciated.

You can have the whole thing repainted for about $300-450. I had a nasty scratch and had the whole bumper done in a day. You can also try a spot repair. But blending in the new paint with old is the real trick.

thanks for the input. I'll try touch off one more try before I take the whole rear bumper to the body shop.
