Navigation Test
I have 3 days to make sure that it works and everything like that. The problem that I have is that my X5 does not already have navigation. My question is; if I just plug in the white existing plug that I have for the radio into the navigation, will anything light up or do anything? I've head you still have to have a navigation tuner??? Is this true? Is there anyway to test the monitor just to make sure it comes on or anything because Im sure if it does that, it will be okay. |

I hate to break the news to you, but you've barely skimmed the surface. Your monitor screen requires a bunch of other components and miscellaneous parts before it becomes a working navi system.
Here's the navi retrofit instructions along with the parts list. http://xoutpost.com/articles/all-bmw/...system-x5.html There's lots of knowledgeable X5 owners here who can help guide you along with way. |

Yeah, its a $3000-$4000 project after you find a guy that has the balls to attempt to install it
