***do Not Order From Fiberdesign Or Lakeshorewheelandtire!!!***

They have the worst customer service, and are run by a bunch of morons. I was over charged by both places and was placed under alot of stress trying to get my money back from both of these places. Never recieved items for over a month and a half from fiber design, and couldnt reach anyone on the phone for over 3 weeks. Lakeshore is just as retarded, and because of them i recieved an overdraw fee on my bank account, and they would not credit me it back, even though it was their fault that they overcharged me with someone elses order.

Stay away if you do not like grey hairs.

Just use a credit card when you order stuff from such places. Then you can always dispute the charge. If the place does not take credit cards, I would not order from them.

You were charged an overdraft fee on your bank account? Did you give Lakeshore a debit card for your transaction? Using a credit card would have afforded you some additional protections otherwise unavailable to you through a debit card. It is far easier to successfully dispute a transaction if performed using a credit card.

But what is done is done. You can try to dispute the charge but the transaction might be stale by now. You can call Lakeshore and tell them they can pay you $25 or so overdraft fee owed to you; if they don't do so, tell them you can publicize the issue on various BMW boards, costing them far more in lost revenue.

Or perhaps someone here can intercede - they are, after all, a sponsor.

How long does one have to dispute a credit card transaction? 90 days?

Much quicker than that. You just call them up and tell them, and then they ask you to send them something in writing explaining why you are disputing the charge. 99% of the time they side with the customer and not with the vendor.

WOW!!! I agree with all previous post...use a credit card when making such purchases. But on another note, I purchased my 87s and tires from LW&T and the customer service was great, product was great and received my order in about a week. Maybe I was just lucky? Word of mouth goes a long way and vendors (especially vendors at X5World) should take heed and try to correct the problem. If I had seen this post before I ordered my wheels, I would have looked elsewhere.

Good luck!

I think he's asking whether there is a time limit within which you can file a dispute.

Right you are...I have another issue I'm dealing with where I would like to fully assess all my options. Thanks!
