These lights are a little to ricey and JDM-ish for my taste.

However, it's interesting to see that the mfg has enabled the red lamp on the body mounted tail lamps. Are these lamps functioning as brake lights or fog lights?

The two articles in the X5world home page refer to enabling these as rear fog lamps. Has anyone tapped into the brake light circuit to use these two unused bulb outlets on the OEM tail lamps as an additional set of brake lights? It might be an interesting and cheaply done project that could change the appearance of the OEM tail lamps.

I tried sorting through the WDS diagrams - it's going to take some work to match the WDS diagrams with the OEM parts diagrams to find out what's what. I'm definitely willing to give it a shot, but I'm going to need some advisors.
