What is an air boot?

Just had that fixed on my car. Apparently it was misaligned or came loose. Said that it 'drained' my battery so they charged it, too.

Total $160.

Thoughts?

Update w/ info:

The comments partly reads as follows:

"... Found MAF sensor signal fault. Inspected and found air bellow boot loose at throttle motor. Removed engine cover. Resinstalled air bellow boot at throttle motor and MAF sensor. Cleared apdatation values, cleared fault memory. Charged battery. Discharged after repetitive attempts to start vehicle in service lot."

$162.00 total invoice.

Thoughts?

Air boot is the rubber pipe that connects the MAF to the throttle body (traditionally). No impact at all on the battery. Takes less than 3 minutes to reattach, This is noticeable visually, I am surprised a shop would spend so much time trying to start your car to the point of killing the battery.
