Non-TiAg Decorative Skid Plates?

I posted this in the earlier skid plate thread, but it was buried so far in, I suspect the request may have been overlooked. Anyway, I'm thinking pretty hard about getting the decorative skid plate in sterling gray. The skid plate in TiAg on a TiAg X5 looks spectacular (thanks to vk for opening my eyes!), but just wanted to make certain that it doesn't look cheesy in sterling gray.

Anyone have pictures of the skid plate in sterling gray (or any other color other than TiAg for that matter)? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Has got me wondering too. Here's a photoshop job. Thanks to Verbalkint for the original photo and permission to amend.

Now all I need is to get VK's permission for him to install his skid plate on my X.

You're probably right- I think it's a little darker but has a brighter lustre than I could bring out in photoshop. The colour does look a little flat. I'm working off my laptop at the moment but I hope it is enough to give people an idea.

I wasn't keen at first but it is growing on me...

It adds some contrast to the all the black down there. If doing the front; I would suggest adding the 4.8is rear as well to make things proportional.

I had similar thoughts prior to getting the 4.8 bumper. My idea back then was to match the grill colors for the skid plate. To me, that would work well and look excellent. Someone do it and show me I took the wrong route.

GO OILERS!
