New X5 Le Mans Blue Sport 3.0d Special Edition

I collected my X5 from dealer last week this vehicle is truly awesome, what a fabulous piece of kit it looks and drives so well. I’m truly in awe of this magnificent car it has exceeded my expectations by miles!

Standard kit on Le Mans – Sports Plus package inch 20 inch wheels (like 4.8is bumper/fender kit)

Build options include; auto with steptronic, 6 CD changer, comms pack (sat nav, TV, BMW assist blue tooth & telematics) exclusive soft nappa leather, Xenon headlights, incl dynamic headlight range control, sun protection glazing, floor mats in velour, auto folding exterior mirrors, and interior mirror with automatic anti-dazzle function, and tracker security device

Dealer mods: rear DVD/TV roof mounted system with full link/functionality with OEM system, TV on move, rear controls etc, BMW rubber mats front & rear and titanium grilles

NB the OEM 6 CD changer is brilliant it plays mp3 & wma files all fully tagged on screen!

A few pictures below of this amazing car I’m already planning my next X5 the E70!

Wished we could have a special edition here in the States... Congrats on a excellent choice. I love the color.

Richard: That is a gorgeous X5. We've had a few others like yours posted and everytime I see one I wish they offered it here in The States. Very nice indeed! I don't however, think you're going to be too eager to trade your E53 for the E70 if the E70 proves to be as big and heavy as I think it will be. It will likely be a very different feeling X than ours.

I didn't think it was a diesel vs. petrol thing. I believe that the moonroof is optional on all X5's in the UK irrespective of fuel type.

I think they make it optional since there is never any sun to enjoy.

Considered the moon roof but prefer climate control - yes could have specced the moon roof as an option (available on all UK X5's) but where do you stop? My extra's cost £7k could have spent £12k!

You made some good choices. I don't use my moonroof very often and I live in Southern California where it is sunny virtually everyday.

If you think spending what you did on options was crazy, try building a Porsche one day on their website. That is truly frightening.
