Question Price Check: X5 tires... Thoughts?

So I got a quote from a 'friend'. Can you tell me if this is a good deal or not? Or should I continue to shop around?

Toyo Proxes ST.

front 255/50 R19 103V for 174 each
rear 285/45 R19 107V for 196 each

then, he's giving me $15 per tire for balance/install. ($60)

So, total out of pocket, it's going to be $800 out. No tax and no shipping charges on the tires.

Is that a real good price or just whatever price?

ok, friend but not like 'kool and the gang friend'. charging for mount when he owns the machine tells you what kinda friend he is. haha. i mean, i do appreciate the hookup, but wondering if it was a good price. i can walk, it's not a problem.

It doesn't hurt to shop around. Go to Discount Tires and be like can you beat this price? Tell them your price included mount and balance. I'm willing to bet they will match your price from your friend and include the mount and balance with the price.

Sounds like a good enough deal. I just got some 275/40R20 and 315/35R20 Toyo's and it was around $980 out the door. I could have ordered it online and had a shop mount them for around $880. So yours sound like a doable deal.
